Kim’s Mum took us to the airport for our 1155 Air New Zealand flight to Singapore. Check-in was slow with only two counters open until a third opened two hours prior to departure.
The flight was pleasant with the crew led by Tina, a former travel agent from Queenstown. I had met her working in Wellington airport some 13 years ago. She was very highly-polished but perhaps not so much with the remainder of the crew on board.
One of Kim’s colleagues Barbara was on board, travelling to Dubai to spend time with her husband who is an air traffic controller. Our friend’s Calvin’s mother was also on the flight as a passenger. I chatted to her briefly towards the end of the flight when I realised she was on board.
