We woke at 0300 and with the aid of sleeping medication, we slept till 0800. That was a total of 13h30! Stuart Hotel’s continental breakfast was very good and we filled up before heading out.
We took the tube to Richmond station where Kim’s parents picked us up, with Kim’s aunt Eileen in the car as well. We drove to Yately for lunch at an old pub but it was closed. We went to a mall near Sandhurst instead.
It wasn’t an eventful outing, more for Kim to say hello to his aunt. But she didn’t seem to care whether we were there or not. It wasn’t a warm relationship.
We returned to the hotel by tube and met with a friend Steve who used to live in our neighbourhood in Auckland. We took the tube to his place to await his partner to return from work. We bused to Hammersmith for a simple Thai dinner before having some drinks in a pub afterwards.
