After clearing transit security at Dubai, I went to the lounge to kill some time. I had a beautiful mutton curry on tomato rice plus salads.
The toilet in the lounge was truly special. I walked into the cubicle; the lid lifted automatically. It had a “front” and “back” washer and dryer! Truly advanced engineering from Toto, the toilet experts!
My Boeing 777-300 taking me to Singapore was unlike the brand new one I had just hopped off. This one came with CRT TVs mounted in the ceiling instead of LCD ones. The in-seat TVs were smaller than the previous flight too.
With a 0245 departure on a medium-haul flight, the airline doesn’t get to show-off its catering. It was a snack upon take-off and breakfast about 2h30 prior to landing. I opted for the fish and prawn congee for breakfast and it was truly delicious.
In Singapore, I taxied to step-dad’s place. Mum is in Singapore this time around and I’ll save on a side-trip to Kuching.
