This morning, we packed up and continued by our Toyota 4WD to Ras Arher. This is where the Indian Ocean meets the Arabian sea. We had a nice time swimming and playing here. [Edit: Later, I couldn’t locate Ras Arher on any map but the flat peninsula near Arher appears to be Erisseyl. Maybe they’re one and the same.]
We backtracked to lunch at Hadiboh before heading down to the south coast of Socotra. We set up camp at a place called Noged. [Edit: I believea large stretch of the southern coast is referred to as Noged, but we were probably on the eastern end of the southern coast.]

It was low tide. The water was a little brown with seaweed so we gave swimming a miss.
Omar prepared dinner of fresh fish baked in a pot with spices. Unfortunately there were some scales attached which made it a little unpleasant.
Tonight, the four of us slept in a shack made from palm fronds. Lou and I had the protection of a mosquito net.
