It’s my last full day in Sana’a.  It’s sad to say goodbye to Yemen again.

It was a social day with some teachers taking students out for lunch at the fish souq.  There was Fabian, and then Omar from Kuala Lumpur.  Talking to Omar, I think he might have been a bit naughty for his parents with his decadent lifestyle and was sent here to “dry out”.

I packed a little in the afternoon before hanging out on the roof with the others.  I wanted to absorb as much as possible of the old city’s skyline.

A group of us went out for dinner at one of the Al Shabani restaurants.  I loved the fahsa (prawn in spicy meat mash).  We also had akdah, a shredded/mashed meat which I’ve had before but this time it came with a red sauce.  For dessert, we shared a fattah, which I never like.  Fattah is shredded bread with honey, banana or dates.  It’s too sweet for me and I wonder where the bread has been (eg. leftover)!
