We had bad start to our journey from Kuching to Cebu via Kota Kinabalu flying Malaysia Airlines, on two separate bookings. Our first flight was delayed by two hours making for a very touch-n-go connection in Kota Kinabalu.
Fortunately we made it … but our luggage didn’t … something we realised upon arrival in Cebu.Malaysia Airlines’s representative located the bags immediately on the computer system … they had indeed been left behind in “KK”. Due to limited flights to Cebu, it would need to travel from KK to KL to Singapore then to Cebu!! Tomorrow.
We pressed the compensation issue and were referred to the actual airline’s office upstairs … adding more waiting and hassle to our day 🙁
Here’s a tip … because all three bags in our party of four had been checked in under my name, only one compensation was payable (unless we submitted further evidence). So maybe we should be difficult next time we travel, we should ask for each piece to be recorded against each person!?!?
Our accommodation at Plantation Bay Resort & Spa is gorgeous! Pity we don’t have a chance to enjoy the water without our swimming trunks today. And from tomorrow, we’ll be busy with our three-day scuba course.
