I was pleased to see the back of Aden and its humidity … give me the cool dry highland … I love Sana’a at 7000 ft.
On the road from Aden back to Sana’a it was interesting to see how men should pee in Yemen. Well, I had known this before but had somehow forgotten. The proper way to pee on the roadside is to squat down … that way you don’t expose yourself too much. Discretion is the word!
Actually, this is the way you’re supposed to do it in New Zealand if you need to relieve yourself on the rugby field … not! It is definitely not acceptable behaviour in front of a crowd of thousands but one famous player has been caught on camera doing it in the corner of the field.
