In the morning, we took a tour of the main galley of the ship. The scale and complexity of feeding over 2000 people (including the crew) was an enormous.

We pulled into the tiny little town of Hoonah or Icy Strait Point which was once home to a cannery (1912-1953). It was a pretty place and the sun was glorious. Some people took the option of having a go at the world’s longest zipline (flying fox) from a nearby mountain down to the flat (5330 ft long, 1300 ft vertical drop and max speed of 60 mph … and the price of USD120). We passed on these overpriced add-ons.
