We opted for a yum char (dim sum) breakfast … it seems wrong to do anything else in Hong Kong, seeing that it’s the home of this wonderful breakfast/ brunch grazing tradition. Interestingly, some of the accompanying traditions don’t make it out of here. I watched as diners poured their hot tea from the pot into the bowl (instead of the cup), then started to wash the cup and chopsticks in the bowl. They then discard the tea. I guess it’s a remnant from the time when you can’t trust the restaurant’s cleanliness.
My 1805 AirAsia departure from Hong Kong to Kota Kinabalu allowed me to fit in another cheap massage and a reflexology session in the early afternoon. I love Hong Kong!
I arrived in Kota Kinabalu (“KK”) at 2105 and taxied to the city nearby, putting up at a good budget hotel, the Cititel Express.
