Today I flew with Malaysia Airlines, departing Kota Kinabalu at 1000 to my hometown of Kuching. Malaysia Airlines surprised me with a gorgeous prawn sambal nasi lemak on the 1h20min flight.
They’ve changed their catering spec, finally. It used to be a (singular) mini filled roll or croissant … with next to no filling. That was so inconsistent with other flights of similar duration which were always catered with hot meals. I think competition has played a part in this change.
At the airport, there was a group of Malay (Muslim) girls enjoying a McDonalds Christmas party … some of them were of sufficient age to wear the tudung or hijab (headscarf). So it seemed completely natural to them to wear the Santa hat over the tudung. This makes Malaysian Borneo special 🙂
