Thereafter, I had a lazy morning followed by working through all sort of domestic matters like bills, bank accounts etc in the afternoon.
At around 1630, we went by jeep to Eagle’s Nest hotel for a cuppa tea then walked up to a hilltop viewpoint to watch the sunset.
It was a truly excellent viewpoint as we could see peaks all around. From our cheap hotel room back in Karimabad, there had been a few un-snowed peaks that I wanted to chop off as they got in the way of the long continuous range of snow-capped peaks. The view here was better but I still want to bulldoze some of those nearer peaks!

- Has anyone climbed up that vertical face on the right? That’s the northwest face of Spantik. The route up that face is called the Golden Pillar.
