I now know why I was feeling so shattered yesterday. Something was brewing; my tummy wasn’t well this morning. It wasn’t too bad but I took a capsule of loperamide only because of the 6h bus ride ahead.
I had to get from McLeod to Dharamsala in time for the 0940 departure to Jammu. With the McLeod – Dharamsala shuttle running every half hour, I potentially had to the front end of the journey first thing in the morning. Feeling tired, I opted to do it the easy way with a taxi down to Dharamsala bus stand.
Getting on the bus was so much easier with no confusion, unlike in Jammu. The journey was mean to take 6h but we broke down after Pathankot on the border between Punjab and JK. The conductor gave me a refund of INR60 which was just right for buying a new ticket.
The day was largely over by the time I got into my hotel in Jammu.
