Having done all the sights of Batumi too quickly yesterday, I caught up on my regular admin (to make sure things are all in order at home) and some reading/planning. It wasn’t entirely relaxing as it was very hot and humid without airconditioning.
At 1900, I visited the chacha (grape vodka) fountain where there was a free-flow to all and sundry (no apparent age restriction). I filled a small bottle for the guy back at the hostel and just took a few sips for myself. I’m not a “spiritual” person so I don’t drink vodka, rum, brandy etc … only wine and beer for me.
- Georgian flag and the Adjari flag (autonomous republic within Georgia).
- This could be a clock tower in Malaysia but it isn’t. It is the vodka fountain in Batumi.
- At 1900 each night, free chacha (grape vodka) is dispensed freely for 10 minutes. No minimum age signage!
- My fill of chacha (grape vodka).
- Batumi boulevard is full of nice eating places which look even better at night.
