I had planned to make an excursion today to a nice town called Blagaj or the waterfalls at Kravice. I couldn’t decide and neither could the others that I had invited. It started raining around 0900; it came down in big globules like in the tropics. There were several breaks which were nearly sufficient for us to make a dash but we soon realised that it would be too unpredictable to do anything.
We ventured into town separately briefly. When the weather finally cleared in the mid-afternoon, we went up sniper tower, which was a bank building used by Croat snipers to hit targets on the Bosnian side of town.
Almir had explained that the snipers were made up of Croat forces, Bosnian Croat civilians and also French Foreign Legionnaires. The destruction around town was still evident.
The weather was dull for much of the day compared to yesterday.

Data tapes from Llubljanska Bank, I presume, still litter the floor of Sniper Tower.

In places like these, I feel like asking the perpetrators “So, do you feel quite silly (or proud) of what you’ve done here? Do you think it was all worth it?”
