I treated myself to waking up without an alarm. It was around 0800 when I got out of bed. I needed milk and fruit and refused to pay extortionate prices from the convenience store, so went to the supermarket which wasn’t far from the convenience store anyway.
I decided to buy stuff to make lunch and dinner too. I spent the day reviewing photos and lazing around. The aquarium and museum were costly and it wouldn’t have been anything I haven’t seen, or of enough of an interest to justify that kind of spend.
In the mid-afternoon, I walked along The Strand again, this time going all the way to the end where a memorial stood up the hill at Kissing Point.
Townsville is lovely in winter. Very liveable for retirees!
