The 777-200 was very noisy on the ground even before the engines started. It was largely the ventilation noise. We were seated in Premium Economy which was very comfortable and it was at a small surcharge to the Economy standby fare.
We took off a little ahead of schedule. The catering out of Buenos Aires was awesome. The rare beef medallion with chimichurri sauce was one of the nicest non-Asian airline meal I had ever been given. And the dulce de leche dessert was divine too.
As Kim knew the crew, we were able to use the bunks. The flight was one crew member short due to illness and I was able to use the bunk for around 7h30. Kim had the use of another bunk for half that time. It didn’t feel like a flight at all; it was like a very quick dream and next thing we knew, we were having breakfast and getting ready to land in Auckland.
