Today is my last day in Managed Isolation for I will be free at 0840 tomorrow. But I’ve organised Kim to pick me up at 0930 because traffic would be bad otherwise.
I have kept to the routine that I had set but wasn’t as strict and didn’t set targets like when I did my quarantine in Kuching. I missed out on one walk due to wet weather.
My second test was done two days ago. The nurse who took my swab gave it several good twirls up my nostril. Again it was only one nostril unlike in Malaysia where it went in three orifices.
I’ve been very lucky to have been fed well at the Holiday Inn Auckland Airport, in addition to having the best outdoor area amongst all isolation facilities in town.

- Extra snacks on my second Friday.
- On my second week I decided to toast my sandwiches using “available means”. Ssshhhhh. I cleaned it with soap and water properly afterwards. It worked very well for the sandwich and did magic to the bagel. Surprisingly it didn’t do a good job with the wrap.
