At Christchurch, we picked up our rental car and drove to a friend’s place for a late/light lunch. We stopped at Copenhagen Bakery along the way to buy a few bits to bring along. Fortunately, we didn’t buy too much because our host was well prepared with food already.
After a good catch-up, we continued to Kim’s friend’s home where we would overnight. We went out for dinner and a good yarn at their local called Two Fat Possums. The food was awesome but it was made better with the chicken burger being on special at NZD15!
We also had a Caesar Salad which came with a choice of add-ons. I chose the salt and pepper squid but to my surprise the egg on top wasn’t poached but soft-boiled then crumbed and deep-fried. It was still runny when I cut into it. Wow!
