We landed in Auckland about 30 mins earlier than our 0925 scheduled time. I had taken care to throw out the wooden toothbrush from the new Air New Zealand amenity kit (which came in a black tough paper bag). I wonder if anyone has been fined for not declaring the wooden item (it is a declarable item).
Luck was on my side today. I breezed through immigration and the agricultural inspection with only a very short queue. With no bags and despite declaring my hiking shoes, I as allowed to exit without the usual x-ray process.
I waited for about 25 mins outside in the cool air, enjoying the warm sunshine for Kim to turn up. It is very unusual to have such a smooth entry back to Auckland.
