Today, I only have to make my way to Kuala Lumpur International Airport for a nightstop for my journey back to Auckland via Singapore tomorrow.
I started my search for the way to the cable car more or less immediately. Some 20 mins later, I had found my way to the Genting Grand mall which I knew was connected to the Genting Skyway.
It was here, I finally found an exit into the openair area that wasn’t barricaded against jaywalkers. But like yesterday, it was super misty and I couldn’t venture very far. The weather was cool and damp but not cold.
It was a lot easier this morning, with less routes closed off and with a bit of luck with different signage. With a sense of relief, I sat down for a rice bowl then a cuppa tea before taking the cable car around midday.
I could feel the warmth and humidity as we approached the loser station where I waited till 1300 for the bus to the airport.
The first part of the downhill ride felt like the bus was running away a little. I was happy when we reached the smooth ride of the highway.
We reached the airport around 1440, much earlier than the 1535 shown on the bus ticket. I disembarked at Terminal 2 where I overnighted at the adjoining Tune Hotel.
Eating at the airport was surprisingly affordable at the curry house on the lowest level. It’s called ABC, replacing its predecessor called NZ Curry House that disappeared after the pandemic.
