I slept around 5h30 or maybe even 6h on the flight. It was nearly empty midship and I had moved up from the aft zone to grab an entire row there. Dennis had fallen asleep upright next to me, upon take-off so I couldn’t get him to move up with me.
Despite wobbles due to wind, we had a landing so smooth I couldn’t tell the wheels had touched down on the runway. Like the landing in Haikou, we came to a smooth but quick stop with no discernible use of the reverse thrust.
We disembarked through the business class area and I was impressed by the slightly-angled seats in 1-2-1 configuration which faced away from the aisle (towards the window or to the centreline of the plane). It provided better privacy than some other airlines.
My companions all had food to declare, eg. dried mushrooms, ginseng etc. Their bags were all cleared through x-ray without manual inspection.
Kim picked me up and we dropped Dennis home along the way. His mum, came out with a box of stewed pork belly, tripe and eggs, plus steamed buns, for our dinner (tomorrow night).
