Today Endy picked me up around 0800 for a bicycle ride around the Marina Bay area. We parked underground at the Gardens by the Bay before cycling west or inland towards the Marina Bay Sands Hotel and the Merlion.
We finished by crossing the barrage to the Bay East Garden where a memorial to the country’s founders was being built. This tribute to Mr Lee (and others) isn’t something I had expected from Singapore but from countries like North Korea or perhaps Malaysia.

The total ride of about 2h30 was very hot and sweaty in Singapore’s heat and humidity. I was fortunate that it was very overcast rather than sunny.
We took lunch at a hawker centre before chilling at Endy’s apartment in Bukit Timah where I had a swim in the big pool.
We finished the day with a dinner at another hawker centre. Wen had joined us after work and drove us back to his place after.
