Back to the salt mine!

It’s back home and back to the “salt mine” again until my next weekend trip in a couple of weeks.

Back home and back to work

It was nice to be able to join my French visitor here and hopefully again in Queenstown soon.  But in the mean time, its back home and back to work.

Come fly with me!

I woke early as if it was a workday, to take the flight to Nelson to meet my friend and visitor, Marie.  The scenery was gorgeous … one forgets how pleasurable it is to do flights on a turboprop (in good weather). I haven’t flown domestically for a while. Air New Zealand has a new […]

Home sweet home

My Air New Zealand flight arrived in Auckland at 1100.  I was pleased to be home after another great adventure, and looking forward to the Kiwi summer.

A quick transit

After a long transit in Dubai, I boarded my Emirates flight to Hong Kong.  I was ready for sleep with the scheduled departure of 0315.  Upon landing in Hong Kong at 1710, it was a quick self-connection to my Air New Zealand to Auckland at 1915.   I had to collect my bag and make my […]

Who needs a reason to travel?

About six months ago AirAsia had a big sale with ridiculously low prices. At those prices one doesn’t need a reason to travel! I joined up the places which I’ve longed to visit, the family obligations and the impulse decisions. In the space of an afternoon, I had bought seven tickets around Asia for NZD350 […]

Back home

We landed back in Auckland after an overnight flight.  I consider the trip a success as I had successfully obtained my PADI Open Water dive certification.  However, I’m still far from confident with diving.  Only practice will help me improve.  I already have plans in my head to make that happen.
